Nominations Being Accepted for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 9, 2004 — Nominations are now being accepted for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award.

This award is designed to honor an individual or group — business, agency, school or organization — that exemplifies the ideals of justice, freedom and social betterment through non-violence. These were the values for which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to achieve.

Applications are available through Southeast Missouri State University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Web site at or can be picked up in the Office of the Assistant to the President for Equity Issues at Southeast Missouri State University in Academic Hall, Room 302, in Cape Girardeau.
