CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 21, 2013 – Notable Quotables: A Regional Juried Exhibition will be on display beginning Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. in the River Campus Art Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University.
The event will be on display through Nov. 21. A reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 1.
This juried exhibition brings together work by graphic design and illustration students from across the region with the goal of artistically communicating a famous quote. It is organized by the Southeast American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) student group. The AIGA connects design students at Southeast to professional designers, encouraging and engaging students in the process of design.
“We’re very pleased that our local AIGA planned and organized this regional juried exhibition of design work by students from other institutions around the region,” says Kristin Powers Nowlin, Gallery coordinator. “It is a great opportunity to plan an event like this as well as to get a chance to see what their peers at other institutions are working on.”
The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.
River Campus Art Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Gallery Coordinator Kristin Powers Nowlin at firstname.lastname@example.org or (573) 651-5901.
