CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., June 8, 2010 – Those who work with GIS will not want to miss “Online GIS Mapping,” a free, three-hour workshop offered at Southeast Missouri State University from 9 a.m. to noon June 15.
The hands-on workshop is scheduled in the Dempster Hall Computer Lab and will explore GIS websites that can be used for simple mapping. No special software is needed to create useful tools to use in working as a planner, economic developer or government official.

Dr. Bruce Domazlicky, professor of economics and director of the Center for Economic & Business Research, also will present information on valuable websites to obtain data for organizational needs.
