CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI., Feb. 11, 2015 — The four finalists who have been selected to interview for the president position at Southeast Missouri State University will visit campus during the weeks of February 16th and February 23rd.
The first two finalists visiting campus the week of February 16th are:
- Margaret E. Madden, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, State University of New York at Potsdam
- Paul D. Plotkowski, Ph.D., Founding Dean, Padnos College of Engineering & Computing, Grand Valley State University

The names of the candidates interviewing on campus the week of February 23rd will be released Friday, February 13, and their curricula vitae and interview itineraries will be added to the website at that time.
The four finalists have been selected after a nationwide search and semi-finalist interviews with the Presidential Search & Screening Advisory Committee. Parker Executive Search assisted with identifying potential applicants and with the screening process.
Candidates will meet with the University community and answer questions at a series of meetings and open forums. Open forums are scheduled for faculty from 1:30-2:20 p.m. and students, staff & public from 4:00-5:15 p.m. All open forums will take place in Dempster Hall’s Glenn Auditorium.
Open forums with Dr. Madden are scheduled on Monday, February 16. Open forums with Dr. Plotkowski are scheduled on Wednesday, February 18. Open forums with the third candidate are scheduled on Monday, February 23. Open forums with fourth candidate are scheduled on Wednesday, February 25.
Those participating in the interview process are encouraged to provide the Board of Regents with feedback on each candidate via an electronic survey, which will be made available on the site prior to the first interview. All feedback must be received by 12:00 noon on Friday, February 27. The Board of Regents will review the feedback before making a final determination regarding the next president of Southeast Missouri State University.
