As Southeast considers a new Learning Management System (LMS), three vendors have been invited to campus to demonstrate their solutions and respond to questions during an open forum. The following vendors will be on campus:
- Feb. 11 – Canvas
- Feb. 13 – Desire 2 Learn
- Feb. 18 – Blackboard
Each vendor will provide a demonstration of their solutions from 9-11 a.m. and then participate in an open forum from 3-4:30 pm. Each session will be held in the Forrest H. Rose Theatre in Grauel Building. The open forums will focus on the needs of faculty for employing their LMS for instruction and engaging students.
The campus community is invited to attend these sessions and participate in an online survey to provide feedback on their individual capabilities and web-based interface (navigation and ease of use). Each session will also be recorded for those who can’t attend in person.
In addition, as part of their RFP proposal, each vendor has provided short videos demonstrating nine features (scenarios) of their LMS solution. These videos are posted at https://semo.edu/it/AcaTech/lms_demos.html. Each set of videos are shown on a different tab, and a link to a feedback form is listed on each tab.
