Openings are still available for The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance’s Acting Intensive Summer Camp June 14-19 at Southeast’s River Campus.
Specifically catered to middle school and high school students, performers will be challenged technically with workshops and classes in stage combat, singing, auditioning and acting. Students will receive individualized instruction and work in groups.
Guided by Bart Williams, lead acting instructor and Acting Intensive coordinator, students will spend a week taking college conservatory-level classes. This camp will provide a focus in acting, voice, auditioning, improv and movement. This training and varied experiences in acting provides an excellent foundation for careers in performance, as well as ancillary positions in the industry.
An informal showcase will take place on June 19 for parents and friends to enjoy.
Housing and meals will not be provided for this workshop. Students in need of housing may rent a dorm suite with Southeast Missouri State University for $40 per night. These suites house up to four people, and one occupant must be over the age of 18. For more information on this housing option, contact Allie Wisker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
