Parking Services Consultant to Conduct Focus Groups, Survey to Gather Campus Input

Parking Services at Southeast has initiated a study to review all aspects of the University parking system.  The consulting firm KA Associates is leading the review, which includes evaluation of permit types, parking lot designations, parking lot design and traffic flow, parking signage and customer service. Also under review are related procedures such as traffic appeals, parking violations, fines, fees, and parking regulations. To date, the firm has collected and analyzed data, including parking space totals, parking permits distributed, parking lot capacity and decal to space ratios and plans to return to campus the week of Oct. 14 to obtain campus input.

To obtain customer input, the consultant team from KA Associates will be conducting a series of focus groups with University faculty, staff and students. An employee focus group meeting will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in Kem Statuary Hall in the Aleen Vogel Wehking Alumni Center. The purpose of the meeting is to gather input from University faculty and staff regarding parking and mobility on campus. A similar meeting for River Campus faculty, staff, and students will be held, Monday, Oct. 14 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the music rehearsal hall, RCC 120, at the River Campus. A student focus group is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Show Me Center meeting rooms. Light refreshments will be served at all meetings.

In addition to these focus groups, an electronic survey will be forwarded to all employees and students of the University the week of Oct. 14. Please look for an email from the University that will provide you the direct link to the survey. Your participation in the meetings and surveys will be valuable in better understanding the experiences of students and employees that use Parking Services’ programs.
