CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 3, 2008 — Southeast Missouri State University faculty Flutist Paul Thompson will present a colorful program of music of the 18th century at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall in the Seminary Building at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
Featured composers will be Haydn, C.P.E. Bach, and Jacob Kleinknecht, all of whom flourished in the post-Baroque era. Thompson will be joined by collaborative pianist Matt Yount, cellist Sara Edgerton, and flutist Candice Summers in this festive program of solos, duos and trios of the Rococo and Classical styles.
