CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 22, 2004 –The Department of Music at Southeast Missouri State University will present its first Percussion Ensemble concert of the academic year on Nov. 8.
The extremely popular and dynamic ensemble is now under the direction of Michael Gill, a percussion instructor at Southeast. Music selections will include traditional percussion pieces as well as some ragtime and Japanese Taiko drumming. Always an interesting and unique experience, the percussion ensemble concert will take place at 8 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
Tickets are $7 for the public, $6 for Southeast faculty/staff and senior citizens, and $5 for students of any age. Discounts are available in advance only; all tickets will be $7 on the night of the performance.
