The Center for Academic Advising will hold a Master Advisor Program topical workshop entitled “Preparing Advisees for Graduate School Admission,” from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the University Center Redhawks Room.
Do your advisees ask questions about applying to graduate schools? Are advisees curious about graduate programs at Southeast? Southeast’s Career Services staff will discuss how to help advisees understand the application timeline and how to prepare a competitive application. A panel of Southeast graduate program coordinators will give overviews of programs not requiring specific undergraduate majors.
This session carries one hour of recertification credit toward Master Advisor status. Those faculty who advise and do not have Master Advisor certification are also welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
To register, visit www.semo.edu/advising/masteradvisor.html and select the “Grad-School-Bound Advising” tab.
