CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 12, 2015 – Daniel Presson has been named coordinator of employer relations in Southeast Missouri State University’s Office of Career Services.
Presson, who began his new duties Nov. 2, is concentrating his efforts on enhancing employer relations and outreach, including creating marketing materials, increasing participation in on-campus recruitment events and leading additional employer related efforts.
The Office of Career Services provides students and alumni tools, resources and opportunities to find internships, and part- and full-time jobs. Southeast looks to continue cultivating employer relations and outreach in order to provide the best match for local businesses and students.
Presson previously served as the assistant director of admission for transfer recruitment in Southeast’s Office of Admissions, where he had been employed since 2013.
He said he hopes to keep Southeast connected with any and all job opportunities.
“Connecting students with possibilities and opportunities has always been my passion and focus throughout my career in higher education,” said Presson. “Now I am able to concentrate outreach efforts to employers and build an awareness of the value a Southeast graduate can contribute to their organization.”
Presson is a 2007 Southeast graduate with a Bachelor of Science in mass communication with an emphasis in advertising. He received his Master of Arts in communication with an emphasis in promotions and marketing from Lindenwood University in 2012. He is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Southeast’s Professional Staff Counsel, and KRCU Generation Listen and Community Advisor Board.
