Prospective Southeast Missouri State University students interested in majoring in dance are invited to attend Dance Day 2019 on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Southeast’s River Campus.
High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to explore dance in a college environment at this free dance event hosted by The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance.
Students will experience a day devoted entirely to dance during which they will learn new movement and ideas, meet new people, witness creativity and learn why dance is a vital part of any education.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the River Campus. Students will have the opportunity to tour the River Campus and speak with faculty and Southeast students. Participants will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Fall for Dance 2019 concert scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall.
Students and their families are encouraged to register for Dance Day at semo.edu/dance/opportunities/danceday.
High school seniors are also invited to attend the Conservatory BFA Dance Program Admission and Scholarship Auditions at 2 p.m.
For more information about the dance program auditions, visit semo.edu/dance/academics/auditions.
