CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
March 12, 2007 – The Department of Recreation Services at Southeast Missouri State University will present a ‘Youth Soccer Skills Instructional Clinic’ on five Saturday mornings this spring.
The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 4-14. Clinics will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 31; April 14, 21 and 28; and May 5 on the intramural sports fields at the intersection of Bertling and Sprigg. In case of inclement weather, clinics will be held in the Student Recreation Center.
Southeast students with soccer playing experience will teach and instruct participants on the basic skills in the game of soccer. These skills include ball handling, passing, team play, individual position work and sportsmanship.
The deadline for the ‘Youth Soccer Skills Instructional Clinic’ is 5 p.m. March 23. The cost for Southeast affiliated children is $40, and the cost for non-Southeast affiliated children is $50.
