CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Oct. 3, 2003 –Recreational Sports at Southeast Missouri State University is hosting an Eagle Day Oct. 14 with plans for the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis to present a live entertainment show at 7 p.m. in the West Gym of the Student Recreation Center.
This educational experience will include a fly-over of the audience by many different kinds of birds, including an eagle, three owls, two hawks, a vulture and a kestrel. Staff from the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge and Duck Creek Wildlife Area will also speak in honor of Eagle Day.
The show is open to the public. Admission is $2 per person for those between the ages of 12 and 65. All University students and faculty with a Southeast ID may attend for free, as well as anyone under 12 or over 65.
