CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Dec. 16, 2005 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today reappointed Dr. Dennis Holt, vice president for administration and enrollment management at Southeast, to serve as a University representative on the River Campus Board of Managers.
Holt’s new term expires Dec. 1, 2008.
Under a cooperative agreement for the St. Vincent’s Seminary property between the City of Cape Girardeau and the University, the City Council and the Board of Regents may each appoint three members to the River Campus Board of Managers. At least one of the city’s appointees must be from the hotel-motel industry.
In addition to Holt, University representatives on the Board are Dr. Gary Miller, chair of the Department of Music at Southeast, and Thomas Swayne Byrd, architect, of Charleston and Sikeston, Mo. City representatives on the Board are Jerry Ford, Ruth Knote and Dennis Vollink.
Holt has been employed at Southeast since 1976 and has held faculty and administrative positions. He holds the rank of professor and has served as chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion, director of the Writing Outcomes Program, academic associate, assistant provost, senior associate provost, interim provost, vice provost and executive director of the Southeast Missouri Educational Consortium.
