CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri, Feb. 27, 2015 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will set FY2016 room and board rates and consider a proposed FY2016 Residence Life budget when it meets at 9 a.m. Feb. 28 in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall.
The first item of business will be a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to litigation; hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of employees; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law.
When the open session reconvenes, an announcement of actions taken during the closed session will be made. The Regents will then consider a conceptual design for the first phase of a new Greek Village and authorize completing design development, investigate financing options and negotiate lease terms. The Board will consider approving resolutions declaring the University’s intent to reimburse certain project costs with proceeds of bonds and authorize certain actions in connection with the proposed issuance.
Also on the agenda is a motion to consider recommendations from Ologie, a branding firm from Columbus, Ohio, hired to assist with the University’s branding project. The Regents will consider awarding a dining services contract and approving a schedule of major capital projects and maintenance and repair items for fiscal 2016.
The Regents also will hear the President’s Report, receive informational items and consider a motion to go into a second closed session for appropriate considerations related to hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of employees; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law.
The open session will then reconvene, and the Regents will announce actions taken, if any, in the second closed session. The final item on the agenda will be consideration of a motion to adjourn.
