CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 25, 2016 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will set room and board rates and consider a Residence Life budget for FY17 when they meet at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall.
The Board also is expected to hear a report on projected enrollment for fall 2016 and will consider approving a new Bachelor of Science in unmanned aircraft systems (drones).
The Regents will consider a schedule of major capital projects and maintenance and repair items for FY17, Faculty Senate bills, including the Five-Year Academic Calendar, and a resolution for the System Facilities Revenue Bonds Series 2016A and Taxable System Facilities Revenue Bonds Series 2016B.
In other action, the Regents will consider two academic program changes and a resolution authorizing administration to participate in the planning process and approve the final Cape Girardeau County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Board also will hear several reports from President Carlos Vargas.
The Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of employees; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law. When the open session reconvenes, the Regents will announce actions taken in the closed session before considering a motion to adjourn.
