The Board also is expected to set the tuition rate for dual credit, dual enrollment and early college credit effective with the fall 2018 semester and will consider textbook rental rates for FY19.
The Regents also will consider resolutions for several University retirees.
The meeting will open with the University President’s Report from Dr. Carlos Vargas. The Board also will hear a number of other reports, including a student presentation by Audrey Smith, a senior accounting major from Poplar Bluff, Missouri; reports from Student Government Secretary Hannah Ross, Faculty Senate Chair Dr. Jim McGill, and Director of the Economic and Business Engagement Center Crystal Jones; an athletics update from Athletics Director Brady Barke; and a progress report on contracts and Facilities Management projects from Kathy Mangels, vice president for finance and administration.
The Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to litigation; hiring firing, disciplining or promotion of personnel; and personnel records and performance ratings. When the open session reconvenes, the final item on the agenda will be an announcement of actions taken in closed session and consideration of a motion to adjourn.
