Salary Equity Study Employee Letters Now on Portal

During the 2019-2020 academic year, the University engaged the assistance of Evergreen Solutions to conduct a comprehensive salary equity study for all faculty and staff positions. Evergreen Solutions led various conversations with employee group leaders and the study task force, and coordinated the data compilation and analysis phases of the study.

The study is now complete, and eligible faculty and staff employees can now view their personalized salary equity study letter on the portal. Staff salary adjustments as a result of the study will take effect July 1, 2020, with faculty salary adjustments taking effect August 1, 2020. Faculty and staff should sign into Employee Self Service, select the Employee Self Service tab and then select “View Salary Equity Letter” under the Human Resources section. Select position title, letter year, and letter type to see appropriate letter. Faculty and staff who were hired on or after April 1, 2020, have term assignments or have an unsatisfactory performance rating are not eligible for an equity study increase.

In addition, the most two recent post-professorial merit awards were removed from annual base salary when analyzing faculty salaries comparable to average market salaries.
