‘Salon des Refusés’ Exhibit to Feature Student Work

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 13, 2012 — The Southeast Missouri State University Art Gallery will follow the grand Salon des Refusés tradition in its newest exhibition featuring Southeast students’ wide variety of art work.

The exhibition will open March 26 and run through April 6, when it will celebrate the closing ceremony from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.

The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.

This diverse showing of student work is a nod to the grand Salon des Refusés tradition and showcases pieces from many media including fibers, sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, graphic design, illustration, digital art, photo and video projects.
