CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 5, 2016 — Enjoy signature items from 10 Cape Girardeau restaurants and businesses participating in the annual “Taste of Cape” restaurant hop on Tuesday, April 19, benefitting Southeast Missouri State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance.
The restaurant hop, which takes place from 5 to 8 p.m., includes the following restaurants: Andy’s Frozen Custard, Bistro Saffron, Chocolate Works, Ciao, Cup ‘n Cork, Imo’s Pizza, Jimmy John’s, Marco’s Pizza, Minglewood Brewery, Mississippi Mutts, My Daddy’s Cheesecake, Pho8 and Primo Vino!
Each eatery will serve its signature item, and participants can choose to go to any or all of the participating restaurants and bakeries in the three-hour time span. Taste of Cape participants will be directed to the tables involved at the respective restaurants, and theatre and dance students will assist the patrons at each restaurant. Tickets for the hop are $10.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for community members and business owners to not only support our senior students financially, but to meet and talk with them personally.” said Dr. Kenn Stilson, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. “The value alone is worth coming out for. The tickets are only $10, which is only $1 per restaurant. This is a way to experience the great restaurants of Cape at a very reasonable price.”
The Theatre and Dance Society, host of the event, will use proceeds to fund the annual Senior Showcase May 6-7 and its summer Theatre and Dance Academy.
Tickets may be purchased through Southeast’s Department of Theatre and Dance, by calling (573) 651- 2149 or on the night of the event at any participating restaurants.
