Sheriff Appointed to River Campus Board of Managers (Page 25)


Dr. Brad Sheriff, vice president for finance and administration at Southeast Missouri State University, was appointed today to the River Campus Board of Managers.

The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents approved the appointment of Sheriff to replace Southeast Provost Mike Godard whose term expired Dec. 1. Sheriff’s term runs through Dec. 1, 2023. His appointment is subject to confirmation by the Cape Girardeau City Council.

Sheriff is one of three University representatives on the Board of Managers along with Dr. Trudy Lee, vice president of University Advancement and executive director of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation, and Rhonda Weller-Stilson, dean of the Earl and Margie Holland College of Arts and Media. City representatives on the Board of Managers are Scott Meyer, Danielle Poyner and Sophia Han.

The Cooperation Agreement for the St. Vincent Seminary property between the City of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University calls for both the City Council and the Board of Regents to each appoint three members to the River Campus Board of Managers. At least one of the city’s appointees must be from the hotel/motel industry. Members serve three-year terms.
