Feb. 21, 2007 – Seven Air Force ROTC cadets at Southeast Missouri State University delivered Valentines to residents at the Missouri Veterans Home Feb. 14 as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs 2007 National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans (NSHV).
The cadets distributed Valentines and candy to veterans at the home.
“Valentines for Vets” is a program supported by the Air Force ROTC as part of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans held Feb. 11-17. NSHV is designed to pay tribute and express appreciation to hospitalized veterans. The program provides Air Force people with professional development through community service, while demonstrating to veterans that their service and sacrifices are appreciated, said U.S. Air Force Maj. Kevin Colyott, Air Force ROTC instructor at Southeast Missouri State University.
