“‘The Wanderlust Matrix’ is a touring show proposed by Corgan that initially began as a printmaking portfolio,” said Justin Henry Miller, assistant professor in the Department of Art and exhibitions coordinator.  “The concept behind this exhibition was for Corgan to send a variety of artists across the nation a lithograph matrix, an aluminum plate or frosted mylar. The artists create an image on the matrix then mail it back to Corgan.  She then printed an edition of each print at the Tamarind Institute facilities.  The show will feature the work of 16 national and international artists and their unique lithographs printed by Corgan.”

Corgan is a 2013 graduate of Southeast and received a bachelor’s degree in studio art with an emphasis on printmaking.  In May, she completed the Masters Printer program at the prestigious Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and just began the Master of Fine Arts program in printmaking at Syracuse University.
