Southeast Alumnus Named Chartwells Resident District Manager

Southeast Missouri State University alumnus Matthew Ludwig has been named resident district manager for Chartwells Educational Dining Services at Southeast.

A native of Jackson, Missouri, Ludwig made the decision at an early age to grow his career with Chartwells. While completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Ludwig worked several hourly positions with Chartwells, including cashier, dishwasher and Rowdy’s supervisor. After graduation, he became assistant retail director with Chartwells. Later, he served as retail director and director of operations. During his time with Chartwells, he has also helped develop leaders by mentoring several young Chartwells professionals, known as Managers in Training (MITs), through the Accelerated Manager Program. This past September marked Ludwig’s 13th year with Chartwells.

Ludwig is also a member of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce and is a proud supporter and fan of Southeast’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.
