Feb. 24, 2010 – Southeast Missouri State University accounting major Sara Kopp of Washington, Mo., attended the Winter 2010 Beta Gamma Sigma Student Leadership Forum Feb. 4-7.Student representatives selected from the world’s top business schools attended the Beta Gamma Sigma Student Leadership forum – a biannual leadership event hosted by the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.Because of her academic performance, Kopp was asked to serve as the vice president of Southeast’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. The position of vice president brings the opportunity to participate in one of the annual leadership conferences.The forum brought together Society collegiate chapter members from around the world to learn and acquire valuable skills in leadership. Students participating in the event came away impressed.Forum participants engaged in a variety of interactive individual and team activities designed to strengthen and develop their personal leadership styles, worked with other student leaders and attended a variety of lectures and presentations. Since 2001, more than 1,200 students have been selected from Beta Gamma Sigma collegiate chapters to participate in the Student Leadership Forum to enhance their leadership skills as they prepare to enter the professional world.Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB.
