The Office of Residence Life is thrilled to present the Second Annual Special Interest Housing Week March 1-7. This week will highlight the important role of the Special Interest Housing Community in supporting student success.
All events are open to students, faculty and staff.
Events for the week include:
Sundaes on Sunday
March 1, 6-7:30 p.m., Vandiver Hall
Kick off the week by enjoying this ice cream bar.
March 2, 7-9 p.m., John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center, River Campus
Come sing favorite songs and support others as they showcase their talents. Hosted by the Dobbins River Campus Resident Assistant staff. Snacks provided.
Humane Society Animals and Dog Toy Making
March 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., University Center, Third Floor Lobby
The Humane Society will bring dogs to play with, and participants can make a dog toy to donate to the Humane Society. Participants can also donate an old T-shirt to support the toy making. Donations should be sent to the Office of Residence Life by Feb. 27.
Board and Brush
March 3, 6-8 p.m., University Center Ballroom B
Board and Brush will bring their crafts to campus for this special event. Participants will have a craft to bring home with them. Spaces are limited to 30. To register, visit https://signup.com/go/ZYMDGQV.
March 4, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Kenneth and Jeanine Dobbins River Campus Center, First Floor
Celebrate the week’s mid-point by decorating a cookie.
“The Last Days of Judas Iscariot”
March 5, 7:30 p.m., Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre, River Campus
Attend a showing of “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” presented by The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance as part of the Second Stage Series at Southeast’s River Campus. March 7, 1-3 p.m., Donald G. and Gloria King LaFerla Residence Hall
Celebrate the end of Special Interest Housing Week at this carnival hosted by the LaFerla Resident Assistant staff. Games and food will be provided.
