Southeast Faculty Present ‘Dark Wonders’ Oct. 7-29 at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri


e41eb39b-201b-4edf-ad35-032b54d83473Justin Miller, gallery coordinator at Southeast’s River Campus and associate professor of painting, along with Michael Baird, a part-time instructor of 3D design and perspective in art, will partner to bring the exhibit “Dark Wonders,” featuring  painting, installation and puppetry, to the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, 16 N. Spanish Street in Cape Girardeau, Oct. 7-29. An opening reception will be held on Oct. 7 from 5-9 p.m.

Miller and Baird were recently interviewed by Dr. Joni Hand, assistant professor of art history at Southeast. The interview, in which the artists discuss their fascinations with science fiction, references to genre art, and their technical processes, can be read here.
