CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 14, 2005 — Southeast Public Radio will host its seventh annual Valentine Dinner Dance at the A.C. Brase Arena Building on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The event is sponsored by the Regional Heart Center at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Proceeds from the event benefit Southeast Public Radio.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a social hour, followed by a gourmet buffet dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. to the sounds of the Jerry Ford Orchestra.
KRCU began this annual Valentine’s Day tradition in 1999.
“We make every effort to see that this special evening is an enjoyable one for our guests,” said KRCU General Manager Dan Woods. “We set the table, provide the music and even clean up afterward. All that’s required of our guests is that they bring their dancing shoes and have a good time with their friends. If guests prefer to just sit back and listen to the music, that’s fine too.”
Tickets for the event are $40 each and must be purchased by Feb. 8. Tables of eight are available for $280. To charge tickets by phone, call KRCU at (573) 651-5070. Tickets also may be purchased at the KRCU studios, 338 North Henderson in Cape Girardeau, during business hours.
