A Southeast Missouri State University graduate student and alumna have received National American Kinesiology Association Awards.
Seth Sievers, a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in nutrition and exercise science, received the Master’s Scholar Award. Sievers founded and runs Integrit Performance, a personal training and nutrition coaching company located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Kaitlyn Nale, a spring 2020 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in health management, exercise science option, received the Undergraduate Scholar Award. She will begin a Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga this fall.
These American Kinesiology Association awards are intended to recognize and promote academic excellence, to further the professional competence and dedication of academically accomplished students and to promote kinesiology and its related fields.
“These national scholar awards are very competitive, requiring exemplary academic and professional achievements” said Jason Wagganer, interim chair of the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition and Recreation.
