CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 24, 2010 — Nine Southeast Missouri State University art education students attended and submitted their artworks in the Juried Art Exhibit during the Missouri Art Education Conference March 4-6 in Kansas City.
Six received awards. The winners were:
• Kelsie Brown of Sikeston, Mo.: second place in digital art
• Julie Fribis of St. Louis: second place in drawing
• Doug Howell of Farmington, Mo.: first place in drawing, first place in painting
• Nathan Kohm of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.: – first place in printmaking
• Rebecca Ramdial of Cape Girardeau: second place in ceramics
• Jon Daniels of Lowndes, Mo.: first place in ceramics, third place in ceramics
“Their awards are a great reflection of the University Department of Art’s dedication to helping students succeed,” said Carol Horst, art education instructor.
