The exhibition will be on display from April 5-12 with a reception from 5-7 p.m. on April 7.
The “Salon des Refusés” runs concurrently with the Annual Juried Student Exhibition displayed in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum. The show gives Southeast students the opportunity to show one piece from any medium that was submitted but not selected for the annual student show.
Spotlighted pieces including works in ceramics, digital art, drawing, fibers, graphic design, illustration, painting, printmaking, sculpture and foundation courses. There are typically 25-30 pieces of artwork.
“One of the things I love about this show is the great variety of artwork,” said Justin Miller, associate professor and exhibitions coordinator. “Students have the opportunity to still have their work displayed, build their resumes and even sell their artwork.”
