CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 20, 2006 — Brandon Christensen’s increasingly popular chamber music series, “Sundays at Three,” announces its final concert of the year with a program scheduled for 3 p.m. May 7 in Old St. Vincent’s Church in downtown Cape Girardeau.
The program will almost exclusively feature early Baroque Italian music of the 17th century and will be a delightful mix of vocal and string chamber music.
The newly formed early music ensemble, “Musics Chordes,” will give its Cape Girardeau debut. Other guest artists will include soprano Christine Johnson, Baroque violinists Celina Boldrey-Casado and Brandon Christensen, lutenist Jeff Noonan, and gambist Phil Spray who will present works of the late Renaissance and early Baroque on period instruments.
Fans of Chamber music will relish this lovely concert and find it a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Tickets are available through the Performing Arts Box Office, located in the lobby of the Rose Theatre, and may be ordered by calling (573) 651-2265.
