CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Dec. 3, 2010 – Chamber Music Sundays at Three will present The Kingsbury Ensemble with harpsichordist and ensemble Director Maryse Carlin, harpsichord, Dec. 12 at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall.
The Kingsbury Ensemble is one of the Midwest’s premier early music ensembles. The group was founded in 1999 and is based in St. Louis. Its mission is to stage authentic performances of music from the Renaissance to the early Romantic period, so listeners may experience this timeless music as its original audiences did. The Kingsbury Ensemble with Carlin will delight audiences with works from Caldara and Rameau, Telemann, Couperin and Vivaldi.
Joining the Kingsbury Ensemble on several works will be Southeast faculty members Paul Thompson, Sara Edgerton and Brandon Christensen.
