CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 6, 2011 — The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Sara Edgerton, will present a brief, light-hearted preview of the upcoming 2011-2012 symphony season at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus.
Short selections of music from this season’s concerts will be performed, and the audience will have the opportunity to purchase individual or season tickets to the symphony. This short concert is free and open to the public.
The program will include short selections of music by Mark O’Connor, Robert Schumann and Georg Frideric Handel. At the conclusion of the concert, there will be a drawing for pairs of free tickets to each of the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra 2011-2012 concerts.
Come and hear some highlights of the upcoming symphony season, and enjoy the beautiful acoustics of the Shuck Recital Hal. Those who attend may also enter their name in a drawing for free tickets.
