CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 29, 2011 – Theatre students at Southeast Missouri State University will present a series of 10-minute scenes as the culmination of their “Directing I” projects Dec. 13 and 15 in the Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre at Southeast’s River Campus.

The two-evening series at 7:30 p.m. will consist of about eight 10-minute scenes each evening, according to Dr. Kenn Stilson, interim chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance.

“The styles vary greatly, from original scripts to various genres from contemporary and modern dramatic literature,” he said.

Viewer discretion is advised. Some pieces are for general audiences, while others are for adult audiences only.

“Directing I 10-minute scenes are really great fun, and the talent displayed at these is very impressive. They are free of charge and usually well attended,” Stilson said.
