CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Nov. 21, 2003 – Tammy Lawson of Bloomfield, Mo., and Windy Ott of Dexter, Mo., have been awarded the Sikeston Area Higher Education Center (SAHEC) General Scholarship at SAHEC, a satellite campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
The scholarship is to be applied towards incidental fees for the 2003-2004 academic year. The SAHEC General Scholarship is awarded to students attending SAHEC full time, who maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. Each recipient will receive $760 for the academic year.
Lawson is majoring in business administration, a degree offered through SAHEC by Three Rivers Community College (TRCC), a partner of Southeast. She is employed part time by Southeast in the SAHEC administration office and has two children.
Ott is enrolled in the LPN/RN Bridge Program offered through SAHEC by TRCC. She expects to graduate in spring 2004. Ott is married and is a veteran of the armed forces. She is employed part time at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
