CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Feb. 18, 2005 – The Office of University Relations at Southeast Missouri State University recently won several awards in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District Six Awards Competition and the Admissions Marketing Report Advertising Awards Competition.
University Relations received three CASE Awards. A Gold award was received in the category of excellence in multimedia for a recruitment video. A silver award was received in the category of external audience tabloid/newsletter for the On Campus publication. The year-in-review video won a bronze award in the excellence in multimedia category.
Seven awards were received from the 20th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards, a nationwide competition sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report. A gold award was received in the category of total public relations program for a River Campus booklet. The Alumni Signal received a silver award in the newsletter category. Merit awards also were received in the category of total advertising campaigns for the Harrison College of Business Series, in the publications/external category for the On Campus publication, in the poster category for the “Show Me Day” Poster, in the Internet/Web site category for the “Southeast Spotlights,” and in the video/CD-ROM viewbook category for a trailer commercial spot.
“These awards are evidence of Southeast Missouri State University’s continued long-standing tradition of producing award-winning publication designs,” said Diane Sides, director of University Relations. “We are honored to be recognized by our colleagues in the field.”
The Office of University Relations is headed by Sides. Also contributing to these successful efforts were Juan Crites, Michael Grace, Nancy Kelley, Lori Davis, Dave Andrews, Michele Elder, Ann Hayes, Delain Stafford, Barb Kinsey, and several student employees.
