Updates to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Self Insurance Posted to Portal


Human Resources has updated the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding self-insurance on the Portal. As a reminder, faculty and staff are encouraged to access all information related to self-insurance on the Portal, which can be accessed under the Employee tab under University Updates. These informational items include not only the FAQ but also a fully-insured vs. self-insured comparison, presentation materials and a live video from the May 30 open forums, an input form for submitting questions, and a timeline of upcoming activities related to the ongoing self-insurance analysis. Employees should continually check the Portal for updates to these informational items in the upcoming summer months.

Faculty and staff are also reminded of the Q&A sessions related to self-insurance that will be held in June and July. These sessions will be facilitated by Alissa Vandeven, director of Human Resources, and will be another opportunity for faculty and staff to learn more about and ask questions related to self-insurance. The schedule of identical sessions is listed below, and registration is not required.
