Vinson Appointed to Southeast Board of Regents

Dennis Vinson, chief executive officer, founder and owner of Signature Packaging and Paper, LLC, in Jackson, Missouri, today was appointed by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson to serve as a member of the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents.

Vinson’s term begins immediately. He replaces Kendra Neely-Martin of St. Louis, Missouri, whose term on the Board has expired. Vinson’s term will expire Jan. 1, 2023.

Signature Packaging & Paper, LLC is a full-service manufacturer of corrugated packaging and displays. The company was founded in 2003 in Conyers, Georgia, and moved to Jackson in 2007. The company services national, regional and local customers.

Vinson is chairman of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is a member of the SoutheastHEALTH System Board of Directors; the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Girardeau; The Bank of Missouri Advisory Board in Jackson, Missouri; the 2030 Committee of the Missouri Chamber; and the Board of Directors of the Cape Girardeau Area Magnet (Economic Development).

He formerly served as a board member of the Missouri Innovation Corporation of Southeast Missouri State University; the Missouri Governor’s Economic Steering Committee; the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Vinson is a 2015 graduate of both the Delta Leadership Institute and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School for Executive Management. He attended Trenton State College, where he was a business major.

He has held various positions with manufacturing companies in the financial arena — Working Capital Management and Treasury — in the northeastern United States.  He served as senior financial executive for Pratt Industries USA Paper Mill and Converting, with headquarters in Conyers, Georgia; has been employed in financial management with Wickes Corporation in New Jersey in its Automotive Aftermarket Company, foreign auto parts division, and with AM International in New Jersey, a desktop publishing company.

He and his wife Joy are the parents of Crystal, Chelsea and Dennis II. They have one granddaughter, Kaiyah.
