Volunteers, Judges Needed for March 19 History Day Regional Contest at Southeast


The Department of History and Anthropology at Southeast Missouri State University is seeking volunteers to help as it hosts the National History Day Missouri District 9 Regional Contest March 19 in the University Center.

The contest is for 6th to 12th grade students across 19 southeast Missouri counties who present historical interpretations in a variety of formats, including exhibits, performances, documentaries, and website and paper projects. This year’s theme is “Triumph and Tragedy in History.” To learn more about this year’s program, click here.

Volunteers and judges are needed on the day of the event from 8 a.m.-noon. Judges must attend a judging training session on Monday, March 18, from 4-5 p.m. in the University Center Program Lounge or Tuesday, March 19, from 8-9 a.m. in the University Redhawks Room.
