The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus is seeking volunteers to help with and participate in its history events in conjunction with Cape Girardeau’s Heritage Days Oct. 5 and 6.
Crisp Museum will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
Volunteers are needed on both days who have an interest in or who want to share their expertise in historical topics, including steam engines; leading a team of horses; using a hitching post; plowing implements; music; crafts; tools; writing with ink and feather pen; hand stitching; types of barbed wire; calf roping and branding; architecture of household chores; pastime games; hunting and fishing; and prehistoric artifacts and replicas.
Volunteers are also needed for dressing in period clothing to mingle and interact with visitors.
