CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Dec. 15, 2015 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today reappointed Rhonda Weller-Stilson to the River Campus Board of Managers.
Weller-Stilson will serve a three-year term expiring Dec. 1, 2018. She is director of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts and associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Southeast. She is a professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance and was chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance from 2008-2011. Weller-Stilson earned a Bachelor of Arts in art and theatre from Southeast, a Master of Arts in theatre from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Fine Arts in costume and scenery design from Tulane University. She is in her 15th year at Southeast.
Weller-Stilson is one of three University representatives on the Board of Managers along with Bill Holland, vice president for University Advancement and executive director of the University Foundation, and Dr. Gerald McDougall, interim provost.
The Cooperation Agreement for the St. Vincent Seminary property between the City of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University calls for both the City Council and the Board of Regents to each appoint three members to the River Campus Board of Managers. At least one of the city’s appointees must be from the hotel/motel industry. Members serve three-year terms.
