Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau Restricted Scholarship Established at Southeast


COE-TomorrowsTeachersThe Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau Restricted Scholarship has been established through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.

The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau made a $1,000 gift to establish the award.

The renewable scholarship will be awarded to a non-traditional female student who is entering her junior year at Southeast Missouri State University. Applicants must submit a 500-word personal essay, have a 2.5 minimum grade point average and financial need. A scholarship committee composed of a Zonta member and two University representatives will select the recipient.

The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau was chartered in 1976. Members include women from various professions which provide an exceptional opportunity to increase the understanding of many professions and enhance networking possibilities.

Zonta works to achieve understanding, goodwill and peace to promote justice and universal respect for human right and fundamental freedoms, to be united internationally and to foster high ethical standards.Zonta also supports local and international service projects as well as scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling the group’s mission.
